R eading Thomas Merton maxims:  caritas ex profundis or more precisely: Nomen meum eructavit caritas ex profundis.  “Charity uttered my name from the depths.” “…think about the words, enter into them, and give me something of their own in return…” he writes in a journal entry included in the book “Echoing Silence, Thomas Merton and the Vocation of Writing” – edited by Robert Inchausti.
